In Tutorial 5 of the FREE How to Play Keyboard Series, you will put together all of the skills that you have developed so far and play some tunes!
Mix and Match Tunes
Mindful of your posture, practice these short melodies in a relaxed manner for as many times as you need to in order for them to fall easily and comfortably under your fingers. See if you can recognise the written notes, locate them on the keyboard and hold them down for the correct number of beats.
Take it slowly to give your brain enough time to process all of this information. As before, increase the tempo at which you count the beats as you become more confident playing each example. Use different effects (soft, loud, gradually softer, gradually louder, legato and staccato) and a range of instrument sounds, giving yourself plenty of time to explore your creativity.
Learning to play piano/keyboard is fast, easy and fun so it's never too late to realise your dream of being able to play your favourite music.
